Leadership

Beth Barber

Executive Director

As a senior housing professional since 1993, Beth Barber’s successful 25-year career in senior living has been focused on helping seniors and their families find peace of mind and a high quality of life in independent, assisted living, and memory care communities.

As Executive Director of Keystone Place at Terra Bella, Beth has the opportunity to work closely with family members and residents to explore options and making life-changing decisions, like those you may face today. With a strong belief in maintaining independence, choices, and above all, quality of life, she look forwards to sharing her knowledge, answering your questions, and helping you discover what Keystone Place at Terra Bella has to offer!

Barbara Sturgeon

Director of Operations

Barb has worked for Keystone Senior Living since January 2014, first in Keystone’s community located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She eagerly applied to transfer to Terra Bella once she learned Keystone was expanding to Florida. Her family has spent many vacations in Florida, and Barb now loves calling Florida “home.”

Barb has an extensive background in accounting, human resources and management. Her career path has also included non-profit and small business ownership. She has greatly enjoyed taking her education and career experience, and merging it with her love of helping others. Barb said, “I love being able to build relationships with our residents, and all of them hold a very special place in my heart. My favorite part of the week is ‘Free Hug Friday,’ which is a trend I started in Iowa because everyone needs a hug!”

In her spare time, Barb enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family, taking on assorted do-it-yourself (DIY) projects, and painting.

Michelle Catalano

Life Enrichment Director

As a child, Michelle found that she enjoyed the company of her elders rather than friends her own age. She spent hours visiting seniors in her neighborhood, and looked forward to the stories that they were happy to share.

Always a lover of nature, Michelle graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology. Finding that jobs as a park ranger were few and far between, Michelle eventually found herself in Kingsport, TN working at a Senior Center. Thankfully, she quickly discovered that THIS was exactly what she was meant to do!

After returning home to Clearwater, FL, Michelle found the perfect career as a programs assistant at an independent living community. She worked hard, became the Director of Programming, and decided to pursue a new challenge! Keystone Place at Terra Bella needed an Activities Director for independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Michelle quickly applied, knowing that THIS was the challenge that she had been searching for. She is thrilled to be here, helping to create an activities program tailored to our residents that they will love.

Arlana Guckenberger

Community Relations and Sales Director

Arlana is a true Floridian, having grown up in south Florida and lived in Tampa & St. Pete since 1991.

She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in advertising, and is a die-hard Gator fan. College football and tailgating in Gainesville is one of her favorite things to do!

Arlana previously worked in marketing and promotions and sales for several radio stations, as well as at Walt Disney World, which is another one of her favorite places. Prior to coming to Keystone Place at Terra Bella, Arlana was a realtor, which provided a natural transition for her move into senior living. She really enjoys getting to know each potential resident that comes in the door, and working with them to make Keystone Place at Terra Bella their new home!

Arlana has a wonderful husband, Bob, who works in advertising, and a 15-year-old daughter, Ava.

Ryan Grady

Health and Wellness Director

Born and raised in Massachusetts with both of his parents careers in medicine, Ryan was destined to be in the field at some point. Some of Ryan’s earliest memories are going to the hospital with his parents, and seeing the patient care focus they provided from the operating room to the acute floors. After high-school and some time in college focused on business, Ryan realized something was missing, and turned to nursing school. Since graduating nursing school and practicing from acute care to end of life, Ryan has had the pleasure for many years now to say he has found his dream company. Keystone has become family, and gives Ryan the drive to continue to specialize in geriatric care.

Moving to Florida to begin an expansion with Keystone has encouraged Ryan to continue his education, and become certified in Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Assisted Living Administration. Ryan’s goal as the Health and Wellness Director is to approach every situation holistically, encompassing each individual for who they are physically, clinically, emotionally, and spiritually. Standing arm in arm with the Health and Wellness team allows Keystone residents to truly be the most independent and dignified individuals they can be. At Keystone, we look forward to each day with pride for our commitment to our residents and each other.
